2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

That was a fun game to attend. All you had to do was take it completely out of context. Lots of hits, lots of runs, lots of double plays from our guys, a breakout from an Australian thereby allowing you to yell "Crikey!" about fifty times, beautiful day: What's not to like?

Finally got to go to Target Field this past weekend. It is a wonderful place to watch a game.

It is. Unfortunately, not many games have been played there this year. Mostly just opponent BP.

I propose that we start the countdown to Miguel Sano's arrival in Minnesota right now. Its about all we have to look forward to at this point. I would guess mid-season 2014 we could expect to see him.

Morneau is done. They said on KFAN that he has started experiencing post-concussion symptoms again. He hasn't had another concussion, they're saying that this is still from the concussion last season.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

The report I read in the strib is that the symptoms were minor. Of course, if they shut him down for the rest of this season, it really doesn't matter. :p

When you're still having any symptoms at all, more than a year after the concussion happened, I don't think anything is minor anymore.

He claimed it stems from some play he made at first base a few days ago.

If he's smart, he's done. You don't want to f* with that stuff.

Denard Span was talking about his symptoms. He says things felt cloudy and he had trouble focusing and got confused easily. That's when I realized I've had a concussion for the last 30 years. STOP BEING A VAGINA OR JUST RETIRE!

Steve Lombardozzi made his major league debut with the Nationals last night.

FYI, the Twins Tragic Number hit zero last night. Maybe next year folks.

Actually the Twins magic number is 43. The problem is they can't achieve that. They only have 20 games left, and Detroit only has 20 games left. So the best they could do is get it down to 3.

Right, so their tragic number went to zero.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

The Twins have a mirror record of last year. They are 58-84, good for last in the AL Central. We are two games behind the Royals for fourth.

A year ago the Twins were 84-58 and six games up in the standings.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Surprised it hasn't been discussed yet, but Kyle Gibson, long considered the best Twins pitching prospect, had Tommy John surgery and is out for at least a year. Before his injury, he went a remarkable 3-8 for Rochester, posting a 4.81 ERA. The future for this team already looked bad, but now its looking like a complete disaster.
