Whenever one looks for a causal relationship for a specific event it's always useful to look at the economic side of things. Could it be that John Hill was just too big of an insurance risk to keep around?

The main keys are MG is well liked among players, he is a high quality defensive coach that has helped developed a number of NHL defensemen, and he is popular in the recruiting circles. All things John Hill was lacking.

Wow, it's really refreshing to see these two coaches back together again.Here's hoping the unified vision among the coaches will inevitably produce a lot more focused intensity and team chemistry this season.
