...Terry Bowden is the new head coach at Akron.

........okay.
Paul Winters, the HC at Wayne State who lead his Warriors to an unlikely second place finish in D2 and is an alumni of Akron, turn down that job. Terry Bowden has been coaching the past 3 years at North Alabama, the host school for the D2 Championship game. Rumor was that UNA hired Bowden in part of a plan to move up to D1-AA, but that plan seems to be kind of blowing up right now with UNA lacking a conference that would give them an invite at the moment. They just might end up staying D2. And there's a lot of UNA fans that are happy that Bowden is gone now, as Bowden tended to rely a lot on getting transfer players, guys that had been a victim of over signing at some school and was pretty much asked to go elsewhere. Due to NCAA rules, those kids could play right away if they're transferring down a division.

Man, they dumped the idea of a "defense is optional" style of play and adopted the, "If you attempt to play defense, deadly force is authorized" style of play.

Par for the course with Washington this season. Able to score 30, 40, 50 points and give up that many.

Hey Lou Holtz! After talking a ton of ***** on air at halftime, your Fighting Irish crapped the bed! How do you feel?
