Hockey should've made the option available to air all games on NBC. The ratings were way up on Game 1 and 2, but they shoot themselves in the foot by putting Game 3 on Versus.

He signed just about the only deal on the table.

ABC had basketball. They weren't going to put the Finals on ESPN to compete.

Outside of a couple missed calls in the flow of play I don't think the officiating has been overly tilted. Chicago has earned every penalty they've been called for. Refs, as always, have ignored some Pronger BS. The missed high stick in Game 1 was essentially canceled out by the missed Toews high stick on that late faceoff.

Yep. Beggars cannot be choosers. And frankly, I dunno if either channel is making money on the deal. I guarantee NBC is losing money, or at least potential money (instead of showing a profitable program).

Flyers are dominating in the faceoff circle. But, while I didn't notice it earlier, after those first two draws of the third period I think Chicago is conceding some faceoffs and even swatting them forward in order to get a line change.

We wouldn't be in the position that we were in if Bettman was not the commish. I loved how Ron McLean on CBC was grilling him about the Phoenix situation. It was basically him asking Gary... "So you hate Canada, don't you?"

Even though we all knew it already... how many of you just thought "OH THANK CHRIST" when it was noted that there are no shootouts if it goes to OT tonight?
