Blackhawks hit two posts, Philly with sick goal. Good period. Oh, and Buff holding off two flyers at once and takes the only penalty. Homer call. :)

Way to have confidence in your product, NHL. Let's put a pivotal Game 3 on Versus while the flagship NBC shows a freaking American Idol for dudes and their pets. Nice move, Bettman. :rolleyes:

Leighton had less of a chance on that goal than Niemi did on the knucklepuck he surrendered in Game 2.

As the primary national rightsholder, Versus had the rights to two Final games. Once the teams were decided, they asked for, and received with NBC's approval, Games 3 and 4 because "This Is Comcast Country".

Too bad the goal review judge can't review the two bums calling the penalties.

I swear this is a carbon copy of the Ducks-Sens series in terms of officiating. One team gets called for marginal penalties, the other gets away with obvious ones.

I'm sure that ABC doesn't put the NBA Finals on ESPN so they can show Dancing with the Stars or Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. If hockey wants to be taken seriously, ALL Finals games should be on NBC!

When I think NBC I think AFL and XFL. Maybe we should rethink this idea.

It doesn't work that way. This isn't decided on a day-to-day basis. There are basic entitlements that were worked into the contract years ago that are the back-end reward for carrying NHL hockey all season. When the Versus contract was signed, NBC didn't show any interest in showing ALL Final games.

Because the WISE commish signed a bad deal. Not everyone has Versus and I bet they are annoyed that they can't get Game 3 because it's not on NBC. I know all the NBA Finals games will be on ABC. Hockey should've made the option available to air all games on NBC. The ratings were way up on Game 1 and 2, but they shoot themselves in the foot by putting Game 3 on Versus.

The only difference? Philly isn't good enough to win despite being given every advantage allowable by the refs. They make the '06-'07 Ducks look like the ****ing Red Army.
