Jokinen back to the Flames for 2 years, $3 million per is all but done apparently.

TSN is saying it's done. The Devils are re-emphasizing the defensive side, which is good, they must see Andy Greene projecting as the closest they're going to get to a Niedermayer (Scott that is)/Rafalski type puck mover.

It will be interesting to see if Pavelec signs his RFA now, or if he'll decline it because he "won't be a starting goalie." :rolleyes:

I knew the time would come when they'd have to trade away talent and use more of their huge crop of AHL-level forwards in their system.

I was not expecting that there would be this many trades, though.

That's Versteeg, Byfuglien, Ladd, and Fraser all in a span of like a week. That's a lot of good, young NHL talent out the door for only getting Marty Reasoner in return.

... it's a shame it's still a bunch of third/fourth line guys forced into first/second line minutes.
