The University of Maine would like to welcome the North Dakota . . . ahhhh . . . Interlocking Initials(?) to <s>REA-East</s> Alfond.

Big surprise the US Under 18 team in Portland. If they're going to bother have a game down there at least have one that counts.

...give season ticket holders better seats (or a box of tissues for the nose bleeds). I have 7 season tickets and have never had seats anywhere but the sections on the ends or, if on the sides, the last sections behind the goal line. All seats have been at least 20 rows back. Way to treat your supporters.

Being forced to buy the tickets with the season ticket package amounts to nothing more than extortion.

according to rachel lenzi, the portland game was supposed to be against clarkson, but a clarkson scheduling conflict resulted in them dropping the game from the schedule altogether... that leaves the series against nodak and the lone game against uconn as the only home out of conference games. all of which are early in the season...

at the end of the day, i'd rather them keep the home ice advantage that a louder (than cccc) alfond would provide...

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

Is the problem with season ticket locations in Portland a Maine thing or a Civic Center thing? It seems to me the University would have a vested interest in keeping season ticket holders happy, whereas the CCCC has no such interest. If the CCCC dictates ticket policy, the athletic department either complies or the game gets pulled from Portland.

Season ticket holders for the Pirates get preference. I've bought good tickets before but have never gotten anything but crap through the Alfond ticket office.

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

article in pph on schedule...

also notes at the bottom that bishop will receive his degree this weekend... nice to see him finish up his education after leaving early...

This game should be optional then for Maine season ticket holders.

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

I wish it was optional, I'd never buy it as the game generally sucks and the seats are horrible. I like going to Sebago brew pub before hand though so it isn't a total waste:D

That won't happen. Just be glad the athletic department doesn't partake of the Personal Seat License revenue stream.
