gscott, I totally want to go to this game in Portland. You can show me around the city of Portland and then you won't be able to whine anymore that when I'm in the area I never call you.

deal. and my "whining" pales in comparison to your lame excuse for why you don't stop in...

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

according to rachel lenzi, the portland game was supposed to be against clarkson, but a clarkson scheduling conflict resulted in them dropping the game from the schedule altogether... that leaves the series against nodak and the lone game against uconn as the only home out of conference games. all of which are early in the season...

at the end of the day, i'd rather them keep the home ice advantage that a louder (than cccc) alfond would provide...

There won't be 3000 at the game in portland.

Joey Diamond won rookie of the year. I know he was clutch Hockey East weekend, but I'm a little surprised Shemansky didn't win it with the numbers he had for the whole year.

Agree! On 4 games is not a season made! Diamond had been disappointing to that point. By the same token Adam got off to a great start and then disappeared the 2nd half.

Well, I think they're both going to be effective players next year.

Joey showed flashes of being the college terror some thought he might be, and now that the scoring seal has been broken, I think it will continue to flood. He'll provide many Gordie Howe hat tricks :D

Adam is at his best when he can fly under the radar. He is very methodical in his fundamentals and he has great heart and anticipation. He keeps his stick on the ice, and he scored a lot of his goals by being in the right place at the right time. He'll make a great 3rd line matchup against most teams next year.
