I love it when people say this after they have made it obvious that they haven't been watching the games. It hasn't happened since Lofquist's goal in Madison last season.

They haven't done it since Lofquist. Facts help. And honestly, Lofquist was darn near benched for it, per the rumors.

Yeah, you're right, I don't watch every game. Nor do I claim to. But obviously I've seen enough to know. Plus I try watching them whenever the Sioux aren't on but this year they're so *** bad they're getting bumped for Timberwolves replays on FSN. Hey, what was the attendance there tonight? Like 30?

I've missed watching maybe 5-6 Gopher games (that were broadcast/etc; for example, @UAA is not happening) in the past 3 years.

Already made the mistake of getting student season tickets, so I feel obligated to occasionally go. I'll probably only make it back to Mariucci for the CC game, and hopefully getting a refund for the first round playoff games.

The multitude of jersey pops. I recollect 3 off the top of my head:
Irmen, Kessel, Lofquist. There MAY have been a couple more, but I guarantee none since Lofquist.
So that's 3 in 90+ games. Yeah, they do it all the time.

Having missed last nights game, was there something that drew TJ to do the "pop"? I didn't see anything while watching at the bar...
All shenanigans aside, this was a weekend that NMU needed... They won a game that they should have, and they really showed up tonight to take a game that could have gone either way... Stewy was solid, which leads me to believe that he is our guy for the rest of the year... Kinda shocked that the D gave up 48 shots... Most seemed fairly harmless though...
There was a real nice redirect on the 2nd goal to spark the offense as well... Ray Kaunisto got a lot of face time... Both for scoring and going to the sin bin... I think that his points more than make up for the penalties he took...
All in all a good weekend for the Cats... Let's hope that they can keep this rolling... They are going to have to work to get their 2nd half surge going... Let's not take for granted... I know it's happened more times than not, but this is no time to get cocky...

Honestly, all tArrogance aside, they were pumped about possibly beating MN, a storied institution, in their house, at their tourney. It was understandable.
