2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

Honestly, all tArrogance aside, they were pumped about possibly beating MN, a storied institution, in their house, at their tourney. It was understandable.

That's what I figured since there wasn't anything before the 4th goal... I just didn't know if TJ had a vendetta or something... It really isn't something I have seen from a Wildcat since Nathan Oystrick banging the glass with his stick when we iced Omaha in the '06 playoffs... And I have to admit, I kind of liked it...

Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

The multitude of jersey pops. I recollect 3 off the top of my head:

Irmen, Kessel, Lofquist. There MAY have been a couple more, but I guarantee none since Lofquist.

So that's 3 in 90+ games. Yeah, they do it all the time.

Ok, first I think we need to clarify something. When I said 100s of times, I didn't really mean 100s of times. There was a little sarcasm there. i thought it would be picked up. Apparently, you all took that very literally. So if there have been the 3 times you speak of, plus the 4 or 5 that weren't so high profile, that is enough times to develop the reputation. Enough of a reputation that a guy from NMU knew to do it at your building when he scored to put the game away.

Lost in the mess last night I forgot to congratulate NMU on a well played game and for winning the tournament and Death Cup. :)

Good luck the rest of the season and hope to see the 'cats once again at Mariucci!

Thanks Minnesota for a first class event! Always a pleasure to visit the U and the cities!

Exaggeration =/= sarcasm. You were exaggerating, not using sarcasm.

And really. Who the * cares about jersey pops or no jersey pops.

Also, NMU =/= UNM. We are located in Marquette, Michigan, not Albuquerque, New Mexico. Some damm Michigan State fans do that all the time and it bugs the hell out of me.

You are correct. For some reason, I thought One Nut did both the ear and the pop.

Would you trade a testicle to be as good of a hockey player as Kessel(doesn't necessarily have to be Kessel but you get the picture)? You could always get a glass/plastic/prosthetic, so trade a testie for skills? I would, of course I would have to retrieve it from my girlfriend's purse but I'm sure I could sneak one out to trade for freakish hockey skills.

In a heartbeat. You don't need two testicles.
And then I'd wave to the USCHO group during my NHL debut.

If you trade them both, you could then play on the girls team.

at least lucia can win the big one, unlike the master choker, hakstool.

We were talking about tony, idiot. Don never wore a UM shirt, he went to Notre Dame.
Choke? 4 Frozen appearances in 5 seasons and a MacNaughton Cup isn't choking, how are you drunk by 1pm on a Sunday? Skip church? How can a gopher fan afford to skip praying for his team right before the Sioux come to town?

This will not turn into another Woog thread. I don't think you know what choking is so I will enlighten your dark world. Choking is that feeling in your throat that you've been experiencing at the Minneapolis Airport in the men's bathroom stalls.

Never been there, but I will take your word that you know a lot about experiencing things in the men's bathroom stalls. You really seem to know what you're talking about.

I kind of figured you have never been to the airport or anywhere else, your life seems to have the same travel plans.

Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

A quick look at posting history shows that 50% of Cross Cheque's posts have been in Gopher threads discussing the Gophers. Of the other 50% of posts outside of Gopher threads, 10% are in regard to the Univ. of MN.....Ye'suh, we have another closeted Gopher fan out of Grand Forks.

and to think, I still managed to go to a school in a Gamma + World City, as opposed to a treeless, flat, former buffalo wallow place like Grand Forks. You better go back to counting frozen sugar beets before you get too far in over your head.
