Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

You can bet Cepis will be skating like a man possessed against BG.

What is the best way to see the game vs. Clarkson tomorrow? It sucks it's not on TV.

Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

only way is by listening to it on the Radio or being in person live at the arena.

I think there's a B2 feed isn't there? I thought I found one on Clarkson's website for $7. Was kinda hoping Minny would have something cheaper...

Funny funny guy. Minny's tickets are $35/game for a general admission seat......slim left the building on your "hope" long ago. Feed costs are just as ridiculous. Between the economy and the sub .500 play, it's not too hard to understand why Mariucci is only 1/2 to 3/4 full for their home games.

Hence the reason why I rarely go to MN games at the Mooch.

Edit: to put it in perspective, this last MTU-MN trip:

Gas: $50
Two nights in the suite: $30 total

Two tickets to Mariucci (one for each night): $70/face value.

Just sayin'.

Anyone from Minneapolis happen to scare up the "Death Cup" Minn and NMU had in their WCHA days yet?

Let's go 'Cats!

gee, you would think with the building only half full, the waiting list for season tickets wouldn't be a full lifetime still.

I heard there was a FIVE %!!!! YES, FIVE %, loss on renewals this year. Apparently, that's catastrophic. Of course, that could be due to the No Booze policy in the suites at the Mooch. Next year will probably paint a clearer picture.

I honestly have no idea how this will turn out. It will be interesting to see how the different disciplines and styles play out. I am unfortunately going to the Shillelagh tourney but I hope NMU can win game 1. Lets go Cats

Looks like no B2 feed until we play BG in the middle of Jan.

Even though I'm from St. Paul ;) - the Twin Cities better half :D - I've been looking but can't find anything. For good comedy nothing beats a couple of undertakers on the ice trying to give away a trophy that no one from either team really wants to claim. :D

Re: 2010 Dodge Holiday Classic (Minn, BGU, NMU, Clarkson)

Just from the little I've been able to gather about Clarkson, they sound a little like NMU. High expectations at the beginning of the year but haven't been able to put it all together.

Like Northern they're probably looking at this weekend's games as being a springboard for the second half. Hopefully the Cats have come back after the break focused and hungry.

Any Clarkson fans out there to give an insight to their team?

Clarkson is a complete mess this year. We only have 19 skaters, one of which is a Finnish player who will make his debut this evening after joining the team for the spring semester. We lost 3 players at the beginning of the season due to an on-campus incident this summer and 3 to injury (although Louke Oakley may be back soon). Oh, and our assistant coach left to take a QMJHL head coach job after the fall semester, so we don't even know who all is going to be behind the bench.

Clarkson's defense has been inconsistent and gives away way too many odd-man rushes, the offense has been one pass short of a scoring chance, and there are very few that have proven to be finishers on the ice.

The bright spot on our team so far has been the younger players developing game by game and Paul Karpowich in goal. Don't let his GAA fool you, he's been standing on his head all season.

There is talent on the Clarkson team but they need to work hard every shift. One of their assets, in my opinion, is team speed. It will be interesting to see how they play on the big sheet.

Nothing wrong with that. Support Public Broadcasting. (Even if it is just a simulcast of a commercial station ;))

Yeah, that's why I listen online instead of the radio, I'm a huge public broadcasting fan. All Thing's Considered is my all time favorite thing to listen to driving also.

I see the Cats' winning today fairly easily, then playing a close one with Minny tomorrow and taking the trophy back to Marquette!

Good God the gophers are playing like the first 4 weeks of the year again.... Pathetic. Hope Madson will be ok, but doubtul, atleast Cepis is looking like a stud. Need a big pick up in the 3rd.
