2010 Division III Commitments

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

the one player that I think you're talking about "interesting stats" played for the Empire League Bruins in 08-09 21 GP, 2.08, .903 and the winner in the Empire League championship

And I included those stats in the notes, and was including those as part of the "interesting stats". Interesting because he's the only player listed so far who played primarily in Jr.B AND appears to have dressed for only 2 games this season

ok, thanks, just clarifying. Didnt notice your note first time I looked at it, no problem

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

Good info except he is a D-Man not a forward.

Realized (or rather, was informed of) the error last night. It's already been corrected on the list. I suppose with the way the freshmen performed this season, the cadets too wanting for Forwards, eh?

For what it's worth, MSOE recruit Grant Ehlert played junior B for the WSHL's Tulsa Rampage.

True haha :o

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

I don't think I have ever seen a player listed that high (early 4th round) go Dlll. My guy was listed 190th final ranking and was the only Prep player of 10 listed that year ( a few below him) that did not go Dl. Very unusual.[/QUOTE]

It is probably important to note that he was #105 in the mid-term Draft rankings, but did not appear at all in the final rankings. If he can have a resurgence this year, and return to his "early fourth round" talent, he could prove to be a huge asset to Amherst.

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

3 more to UMass-Boston. I might be wrong, but at least one of these looks like a big steal, just looking at numbers and the note I added.

2010-11 DIII Commitments

Could be...but he's a small guy and the AtJHL isn't one of the premier junior leagues. Correct me if I'm wrong but that might even be a Junior B league.

We shall see how he translates over to D-III.

Wesleyan looks like they've picked up a solid pair of prep forwards that were teammates and co-captains.

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

Max Gavin removed from WNEC's list
2 more to WNEC in his place
3 more to Buff State

2010-2011 DIII Commitments

WNEC picks up their 8th EJHL recruit, 5th specifically from Springfield.

Buff State picks up the new lightest player on the list at only 140lbs.

He could have played himself off the list, but I also think it is fair to say that committing to hockey at a DIII school after the mid-term rankings come out, and before the draft, is a pretty good way to insure that you drop off the final NHL CS Ratings.
