As long as he doesn't go anywhere behind the wheel...although I know a good attorney if he needs one :p

Come on, Blaise wasn't drunk, he just wasn't tall enough to see over the steering wheel. Give the little leprechaun a break..

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Enough of the Blaise DUI jokes. Don't get me wrong as I have made plenty of Blaise short jokes but the DUI happened a few years ago. Lets get back on track.

The 2010-2011 edition of the Chiefs/River Hawks will go down as the worst team in school history. I thought the 1990-1991 team would take that title as they sucked but. 3-4 years later they were really good. Let's hope the freshman & sophomores from this years team take this in stride and take their aggression out on Hockey East in the years to come.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

On a completely unrelated note, I just checked my UML student email and this link popped up in my "School News" email:

http://www.nesn.com/2011/01/scott-campbell-maury-edwards-and-riley-wetmore-whip-up-a-meal-before-hockey-practice-at-umass-lowell.html

It's about a week old so I don't know if anyone's seen it or mentioned it yet but, hey, publicity is publicity, even if it's to give college cooking tips. I have to wait to watch it until I get out of work (stupid firewall) so I don't know if it's good/bad/funny/lame or anything.

Also hope the new UMass president is a hockey fan...

Hands up people. Apart from me and Monty who is going to the Bentley game on Tuesday? I'm thinking the attendance will be around 800.

I'll be there also. Call me crazy....I'll be heading over to Merrimack tomorrow night and possibly BC on Saturday night. One of these nights something has to give, right??.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

We are going to get slaughtered this weekend but I respect your commitment to Lowell Hockey. As bad as the team has been this season I'm kind of proud that we have kept this thread on the 1st page.

BTW: I'll be at Beer Works around 5 on Tuesday. I need to put faces with names as I've talked to Monty 100 times but have never asked anyone else with him what there names are.

I will be at all the games (and at Beer Works on Tuesday). Haven't missed one yet this season.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

UML got a shout out in this week's Hockey East article from USCHO. About halfway down the page, it's entitled, "Lowell’s MacDonald: ‘Worrying solely about UMass-Lowell’".

http://www.uscho.com/2011/01/20/no-more-moral-victories-for-maine-after-potential-turning-point/#

Not expecting much out of this weekend, just hope they play well, continue developing, keep some consistent offensive zone pressure, PUT SOME SHOTS ON NET, and help the goalies stay above a .900 save percentage. Tough to do because 'Mack is a scoring machine at home and BC can put a touchdown's worth of goals up if they want (although York usually calls them off before that) but just hoping for more positives than negatives, no injuries, and a solid internet audio feed this weekend.

First time I can remember that I am not going t merrimack when I could go. I hate the new bucket seats (wrecks the atmosphere!) and I can't see having to go, park a 1/2 mile away, walk to the rink that has been gentrified (yuck) to walk a 1/2 mile back to my car hanging my head. Sigh. I will be listening tho. I am still a masochist.
