2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

I'm actually not that surprised by the result. BU's weakness at the goalie position really got exposed. Also, BU was down two D as Catherine Ward and Caroline Campbell are still injured. They had to convert one of the F's back to D.
Haven't looked at the box...but from the updates during the game it sounded like the Mo & Jo show. Not surprising.

That's what it was. Those two are exciting to watch. Especially when they're on the ice at the same time, which is almost the entire game.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

The Bulldogs won Game 2 against the Minnesota Whitecaps 6-4 behind two goals each from Laura Fridfinnson and Haley Irwin. UMD's regular season starts next weekend at North Dakota.

Agreed. I didn't watch the entire game, but from what I saw, UND dominated when they were on the ice, and lost control a bit when they weren't. It'll be interesting to see this team in the coming years to see if the Sioux can get some depth. They have some quality recruits coming in, so hopefully they pan out.

Not looking so good today. After one BU dominated. Won 6-2.Two empty net goals. UND looked tired.

Syracuse takes out UNH

Syracuse takes out UNH

Syracuse 4 UNH 2

Syracuse dominated this game. UNH did not show up until the last 7 min of the game. Lots of penalties. Syracuses goalie was rarely tested especially on the PP. Next up BC

UMD shuts out North Dakota 4-0. But the game wasn't as close as the score might suggest. :D

Big guns in the West keep on Rolling......Wisco 7-1 over the Beavers.

Sticking with the Badgers as my top pick from the WCHA and Cornell the team from the East to beat.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

In exhibition, Minnesota Gophers defeat Minnesota Whitecaps 3-2. Gophers score 2 goals in the last 2:10 of the game (and on their last two shots on goal) to get the victory. Gophers vs. Wayne State tomorrow.

Meanwhile in St. Cloud, Wayne State defeats St. Cloud State 3-0. Looks like Julie Ingratta is the player to stop for Warrior opponents, as she scored two of the three and assisted on the third.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Was that an unbiased opinion ?

I didn't realize there were any unbiased opinions here. Mine certainly isn't. But I did watch the game and I know what I saw. :p

Bottom line is North Dakota didn't put up much of a challenge and the "miracle twins" came up with zero points. I wasn't impressed with them, frankly, but it's the first game I've ever seen them play. I'll chalk it up to them having an off day because this couldn't have been them at their best. And the Dogs played a solid 60 minutes. I think UMD's bench is too deep for the Sioux to do much against.
