Minnesota 3-0 over Clarkson...final.

:) :D :) :D

You expected Clarkson to be much better in the rematch; I'm just thrilled that the Gophs were able to respond and get the sweep. I never would have guessed they would not surrender even one goal against such a highly ranked team, away from home.

You couldn't ask for a better start to the season.

It's a nice weekend, to be sure, but I'm not sure how much it means. Clarkson graduated a lot of their scoring punch from last year, while I think 5 of the top 6 for the Gophs are back. Both teams have a talented freshman class, but I think the returning players for Minnesota have an edge. If they play again in 5 months, I'd guess that both teams will look quite a bit different. Still, 5-0, 3-0, I think we'd take that every time out, no questions asked. Way to go Gophers!:) I just hope Westy is okay ...

I'm actually not that surprised by the result. BU's weakness at the goalie position really got exposed. Also, BU was down two D as Catherine Ward and Caroline Campbell are still injured. They had to convert one of the F's back to D.
