Wisconsin up 3-0 on UND after one in Grand Forks..

Knight, Duggan, and Decker with the Goals thus far. Stephanie Ney has not looked overly impressive in net for UND. A bit surprised not to see Dagfinrud out there for both games..

cornell is now up 3-0 after two. White scored the first two goals. The first was from karpenko and the second was from Fortino and Rougeau on the PP. Jenner got the third from Johnston and Cook. Cornell is now outshooting Clarkson 19-16.

Ney looking better in the second. Keeping UND in the game.

J Lam used a nice move to score the first goal while the second came on a scrum in front of Rigsby. Badgers not getting any respect from these refs...

Badgers up 4-3 after 2 periods. A goal for UW with 1:02 left and the Sioux answer with :19 remaining.

UMD 3-0 over St. Cloud with about 40 seconds left in the first on a power play goal by Irwin assisted by Larocque, and then Irwin adds an exclamation point and a penalty. St. Cloud's taking a lot of cheap shots and the officials need to get control. They're talking it over.

St. Cloud starts the second period 5 on 3 with penalties carried over to Irwin and Thibault.

UMD up 4-0 early in the second as Irwin snags her third goal and an assist by Holmlov and Winberg.

UMD up 5-0 after two. Shots on goal are 41-11 in UMD's favor. Seventeen penalties in the game. UMD's power play is 3-for-7, St. Cloud is 0-for-4.

Wisconsin beats North Dakota 4-3.
Minnesota beats Bemidji 6-2.

(in case you missed either of those earlier scores.)

UMD beats St. Cloud 5-0. Shots on goal were 52-20 in favor of UMD. 24 penalties in the game. UMD's power play was 3-for-8, St. Cloud's was 0-for-7. Irwin had the hat trick and two assists, five points and five penalties. UMD grabs first place in the WCHA, one point up on Wisconsin and five points up on North Dakota. Wisconsin and North Dakota play again Sunday.

The weekend we saw UND, Ney was the steadier goalie. Your forwards can make a lot of keepers look unimpressive.

Ney had strictly outperformed Dagfinrud on paper for six weekends in a row prior to this Wisconsin series, with Dagfinrud getting the first start, and Ney getting the 2nd. So I'm not surprised to see Ney.

The alternating pattern of the last 6 weeks was broken this weekend, presumably going with Ney in both games, so maybe she felt a bit of pressure getting that first start.
