Re: 2010-11 Schedules

Michigan State's schedule will include
- as best as I can surmise from the new CCHA alignment and current clustering

1st or 2nd weekend home pair against Maine
A 2-game tournament invitation in October
GLI (home team)
4 games vs. Notre Dame, Michigan and Bowling Green
2 games vs. Ohio State (away), Lake Superior (away), Ferris State (?), Miami (home), Alaska (home), Northern (home) and Western Michigan (?)

I'm thinking we'll have a 3rd non-conference pair of games to fill the void left by the demise of our version of the College Hockey Showcase.

Does anyone remember who was invited to this year's GLI?
Don't we owe Lowell a return trip from when they trekked down to EL a couple of seasons ago?

And, as noted, we do have a non-conference set at Munn against Huntsville.

Well that would make sense - 6 non-conference games (not including GLI).
2 x UML, 2 x UAH and 2 x Maine

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

I like these DU games with HE, makes for some great hockey.
The DU vs. BC & DU. vs. Vermont games this season were sellouts with electric atmospheres. I think that DU would draw better attendance if they played in Hockey East. :)

DU has always drawn 25% of its student body from the East Coast and Lax is our second biggest sport.

Nothing official yet on the Lowell side, but I haven't heard anything about MSU coming in next year. I have heard MSU-Mankato would be in Lowell for a pair. I wonder if the Lowell visit to MSU was a one way deal. Hopefully MSU owes Lowell a visit. There should be an update on the schedule on the next (Tue.) UML Hockey radio show.

I agree 100%. Many of the DU posters here at USCHO went to high school in the East and came west for college/DU. DU would be great in Hockey East and in the Patriot League in the other sports DU plays....

it'd make as much sense geographically as Air Force in Atlantic Hockey, plus we'd finally have 10 real hockey programs in our conference ;)

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

were there rumblings about UNH and UML going to SCSU and MSU-M for a game at each school in one of the upcoming seasons?

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

I don't have all the details. I will get them this weekend I am sure. I have the composite ECAC schedule for league games. If anyone has any questions on that let me know...I am not typing it in here!

Does that schedule include travel-partner series?

If so, when is the Colgate-Cornell series?

Thanks :)

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

As another poster previously stated for Maine:

at Michigan State (2)
North Dakota (2)
Florida College Classic (Miami, St. Cloud, Cornell)
27 league games

I think that leaves 1 more game.......probably will be scheduled for Portland. Plus an 1 or 2 exhibition games (at New Brunswick?).

I heard the following while at the F4:
@ Michigan State - Thursday/Friday (10/14 & 10/15)
UConn
Exhibition games against U-18 and Acadia

God, our athletic department's run by a bunch of idiots. Way to p*** away another good draw by moving a major non-conference game to Thursday, Mark!

Home football game against Illinois...With the time TBD by TV. Better to plan on a Thursday game than move to who knows what time at the last minute.
