2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

No one said anything about a moral victory, but hey if it makes you think you are right feel free to make more crap up cause it is funny. Just keep ignoring that other teams play the game too and have just as much control over the outcome as the Twins. "The Twins win when they try to win and lose when they don't..." you definitely sound like the fans on the hockey side of the board.

When was the sweep on their bats? They had A CHANCE to sweep when the game started but it wasnt like it was bottom of the 9th and the bases were loaded and Mauer struck out. Nathan didn't come in and blow the save. Detroit played a good game and won...amazingly that tends to happen over the course of a season. You act as if it was a foregone conclusion well if you want to play that game that is fine, then the Twins should have lost to Verlander Saturday so it is a wash.

I am one of the few people around who don't drink the Kool-Aid, hell I don't even care if they win the Division because the Yankees will most likely sweep them out of the playoffs but the way you talk the Twins ****ed down their leg...hell reading your posts you would think it was the Twins choking away the lead not Detroit.

Aaah, so there it is, the moral victory. The Twins are supposed to lose to Detroit because they're ahead, and Detroit is the one choking cause they're ahead.

I knew there was a moral victory in there somewhere. What a great victory to go 2-1 in the last series when the Twins needed the sweep.

It's not a moral victory, he's simply saying the loss itself doesn't indicate they're the worst chokers of all time. Give it a rest, Scoobs. :)

I didn't say they were. Just another year goes by that Morneau, Nathan, and Mauer are wasted. They'll be gone soon.

What the hell are you talking about...have you been sniffing glue? There is no moral victory stop putting words in my mouth.

You are once again just looking for reasons to whine...just stick to Gopher Hockey maybe you will be more happy.

It's Scooby...the Twins could go 160-2, the Vikings 15-1, and the Wild 81-1 and he'd still be whining about the losses like they were the end of the world and that management sucks and be talking about moral victories...

I knew we'd get to the "supposed to win" argument. This would mean that the Indians and Royals would lose every game because they're worse than anyone in the AL. How have they won over 60 games? Oh right...anyone can win at any time.

They play in the worst division in baseball and thus get more games against mediocre teams.

MLB would say its "competitive" not mediocre. ;) :D

The AL Central is the only division where only one team has scored more runs than they're surrendered. (That one team is the Twinks, btw.) Four out of five teams -- including the 1st place team! -- can't score more than they give up. I know stats can get so far out there they sometimes don't mean anything, but it still is pretty telling, I think.

Not true at all. Depends on the teams situation. Apparently everyone is happy with the way things have turned out. Fine with me.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

And when Handy calls you out on that, you know there's a problem.

Hey I whine about stuff that actually happened...Scooby just makes stuff up because he refuses to ever be happy. He is still doing it now. Apparently everyone is satisfied in here with the Twins losing Sunday even though no one said that or even implied it.

The only sport Scooby even tries to be positive about is Gopher Hockey. The rest of the sports he could care less about unless they are making a run, and then as soon as they lose he rails that team for not winning it all. Same M.O. for years.

So you're saying for the Twins/Vikings/Wild there is not even a glass? ;)
