Re: 2009-2010 Official Vermont Season Thread

Is anyone else worried that Brayden Irwin's brief two-game pointless streak could negatively impact him in his consideration for the Hobey Baker Award? I'm hopeful that because it has come during this holiday lull in the schedule, maybe the voters won't notice and keep in mind that he has, as acknowledged by coach Sneddon, one of the best shots in hockey.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Is this tongue-in-cheek? Do you really think Brayden Irwin's got a shot at winning the Hobey Baker?

Based on recent postings by grantfan, that is a big unknown. Would like to believe it is tongue-in-cheek comment but Lowell and BC fans most likely will not think so. He appears to be a fan who analyzes the game in a manner few can...we are blessed to have fans like him and JCarter fighting the fighta and educating us.

You may not think Irwin is a Hobey candidate, UVM in Texas, and that's fine, but you don't really have to denigrate my thought that he could be. He got off to a very good start, thrust himself onto the national stage and, at times, has carried the Catamounts. What more can a Hobey Baker candidate do?

Getting his team out of 6th place and more than 1 game over .500 would be a start.

And yes, Irwin as a Hobey candidate is laughable (if you're actually be truthful that you're serious). He's under a point per game. That is not Hobey pace at all. He has fewer goals AND points than Carl Sneep for crying out loud.

edit - I commend UVM Cat in Texas for denigrating that specific thought.

Is Carl a Hobey candidate? He is having a good year, team is doing well, so perhaps?

Yes, yes you are.

I know I am thankful for grantfan and others like Cat lover and snwbrder as well as you. Keeps me mightily entertained. God Bless you.

ANd grantfan, unless Irwin goes on a tear to finish out the season, and then at BEST he would be in the initial round but no further. He certainly will not be a legit contender. Right now UVM does not have a Hobey candidate with a shot.

Being in touch with the current adminstration running our great country, don't forget to say: Allah Bless you too...it is the politically correct thing to say.

Not yet, by next year the socialist will have a law passed that requires all citizens to Bless every thing. No way I am doing it until forced and then I will likely tell them to go **** up a rope.

He will need to do that before the 2010 election as his cheering squad will be gone after that...

No.

I love Sneep to death, but no.
Hey not everyone can be BC.....
Damn right.
I'm thinking about starting a new profile with the user name TonyTheTiger2O. What do you think?
I think "please do," you'll get suspended for creating an alias account now that everyone knows you might do it.
