I'm sure PC was't happy with getting pounded the night before. And since they're fighting for their post-season life, it was it was like a playoff game for them. They played hard and they played well--gotta tip your cap to them. In regard to Maine, just look at who they took 4 points from this weekend. They're a good team! UVM outplayed them on Saturday at home and should have come away with two points. It didn't work out that way, but those things happen.
Regarding this coming weekend, they have to take 4 from Merrimack.
I understand what you and KDaddy are saying, but I think it's just a wee bit harsh. Hockey just isn't the sort of game where you see extended winning streaks, particularly in a league like Hockey East. You look at the better teams in the NHL and they're basically losing once every three times they take the ice. It takes a really exceptional team to win at a clip better than that.and the Providence weekend showed even more...a tie against a horrible team when 2 wins were necessary, also says it all....
