And Pittsburgh answers soon after. Cooke on a scrum in front of the net, about the 3rd or 4th whack at it.

3-1

If your own man (Orpik) causes the net to come off, can't they award the goal anyway because he knocked Cullen into the net?

Net off the moorings, no goal. Scotiabank isn't a happy place.

Gonchar gets a penalty on the no-goal. Just pop another one in Sens.

Now don't freak out Ottawa, still have a power play, don't let the Pens take any momentum out of this.

whew!

from tba's lips to God's ear :p

Hey... anybody want to read NHL Rule 63.6.

Oh, wait, I forgot... we don't use the regular book when it involves the Pens.

I think it would be hard to say that Orpik put Cullen into the net to displace it intentionally AND the shot had taken place AND the shot was on net.

Part 1 would be the hardest, Part 2 not hard and Part 3 is a slam dunk.

But Part 1 is the hardest to prove, and I believe he did it intentionally, whether he was doing it to prevent a potential goal for counting or not, that's up to your biases.

ha.

i'm not even watching!!!

i knew after the OT game that they would lose tonight and i have no interest in investing the effort nor emotion to see them lose. it will be bad enough tuesday for game 7.

Actually, its not based on intent, but simply says "the defending player's actions dislodge the net."

Good goal. All the refs looked at was whether the net was off instead of looking at WHY the net was off so: No goal.

Might be time to climb back on the bandwagon. ;)

Ugh, Matt Farking Cooke with his second to lead the comeback charge and tie it at 3.
