So the LA Kings guy was right when he said Red is a horrible coach. Makes Sense.

Also, dont know what really caused all that in the B's-Sabres game...but Lucic went after someone, after Chara got a penalty, every paired up and all the wonderful stuff.

Buffalo ends up with 4 in the box...and Boston just has Chara and Lucic...but everything seems to match up along with Chara's 2 min boarding call.

It appears the Vanek hit Wheeler into the boards from behind, no call.
Chara hit Ruud Van Kaletalroy into the boards and the dip**** in stripes managed to see that. Then things devolved into an early 2000' PC/UNH game.

A stick check and getting out muscled by McQuaid is a penalty on McQuaid for hooking.

Milan Lucic tried to start a fight with Toni Lydman.

Where's the photo of MEg with the pancake on her head because any argument is now invalid. Toni Lydman is a soft, wimpy Finn that doesn't fight.

Also tried to come back a Lucic with a cross check.

If the B's fall behind 2-0, game over. Stay out of the box!

Recchi ties it up at 1. PP Goal thanks to Toni "Never take two hands off your stick" Lydman

Contrary to this thread's title the Sharks will not, I repeat--WILL NOT--screw up this time, and I have proof. I listened to a bit of a sportstalk show here in Denver this afternoon. The hosts had as one of their guests Mr. NHL Hockey Authority himself--Barry Melrose.

Barely,er, Barry said that should the Avs win one of the first two games in San Jose, that Colorado would win the series. The Avs prevailed 2-1 last night. So there you go Sharks' fans. Barry has guarnteed the Avs will win the series. Bet the mortgage, the house, the car and all your wordly possessions on the Sharks. It's free money I tell ya.:D

Considering he said Cornell was going all the way this year, I'd also say he may have just given the Avs his Kiss of Death. ;)

(to be fair, I had Cornell in the FF too :p)

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Part 1: How will the Sharks screw it up this time?

This is why the Sharks don't win when it matters:

"I don't think we're in a must-win by any means," San Jose captain Rob Blake said. "But we need to play better and be more effective through the neutral zone, and we'll get to that point. We were stronger in the third period, but we need to sustain that throughout the game."

I understand him wanting to make it sound like the pressure isn't going to their heads, but that's still a ridiculous comment to make. Potentially going down 0-2, on home ice, to an eight-seed and it's not a "must-win"? Wrong mentality there Rob.

When the Bruins lose tonight, they can't blame Tuukka.

I remember a game with them against the North Stars at the old Met Center that ended 8-7 Stars. Not a normal North Stars game for sure. Lots of fun for us though, I got my boss's tickets in second row corner.
