Besides the fact it's the Sharks (meaning you had to expect something like that), what a shame for the game to end that way.

Screw volcanoes and screw avalanches.

As a Bills fan, even I disagree. Not like this. Not like this.

I'm a Bills fan as well and you honestly think they aren't on the same level as the Sharks? If four straight Super Bowls wasn't enough, music city miracle, re-signing a coach that went 7-9 three straight seasons, Norwood, Dallas Monday Night, losing to the steelers 2nd and 3rd stringers, etc etc etc...

I'm a fan of two teams, the Avs and the Caps. As an Avs fan, even I agree. This is one I almost feel bad for winning. Craig Anderson stole a game that the Avs had no business winning.

Apparently NHL.com couldn't believe it either.

It's not the losses. It's the way the Sharks lose. Off a skate and an own goal, just this year?

2 of the 4 SB's were against a dynasty of sorts, and one was against a one-hit wonder. Only the NYG SB was a "curse" worthy one, and that I wouldn't even classify as a curse, unless you consider that the start of it all.

Re-signing a coach is stupidity, not a curse.

Sharks are on another level.

I'm already uploading to YouTube (in HD) so everyone can view the hilarity.

2006- Up 2-1 on Edmonton in 30T, Cheechoo clanks off a post, Edmonton scores on the next trip down. Game 5, Blow 2 goal lead for first time all season.

2007- Up 2-1 on Detroit, give up tying goal with 20 seconds left, lose in OT

2008- Lose in 4OT in game 6 at 2:50 am in Dallas on a powerplay. That was the 4th OT game of the series.

2009- * Hiller.

2010- That.

Have the music city miracle or the last 5 seconds of the 1st super bowl loss happen 5 years in a row.

Then come talk to me.

Otherwise, football losses give you time to accept the inevitable. It's why playoff hockey is the greatest thing on earth when your team isn't playing, and the most painful when your team is.

It could be the greatest thing on earth if your team is playing, too, but that is less common.

Can we get a pic of Dan Boyle and a big red FAIL underneath?

Hell, I follow Florida State football. Even watching them shank field goals doesn't compare.

Hmm.

Maybe it's me that's cursed.

Could be.

Like I said, the Sharks are on a whole 'nother level right now. This is unreal. It's not a matter of when. It's a matter of how.

Anderson absolutely stole the game tonight. I don't care how much a goalie is in the zone, the Avs can't continue to win while being outshot 21-3, and 21-4 in the 2nd and 3rd periods like tonight. The Sharks will win this series...this coming from an Avalanche fan.

I don't think so, I mean look how successful Western Michi... Oh. #$@K.

This sums up the Sharks. It may be overkill, but their history it's so true.
