Honestly I assume the only way to save Democracy at this point is a divided states of America.

It is unbelievably attractive. Imagine leaving behind all of our major problems of the last 250 years with just a simple division like Czechs / Slovaks. The civilized and the savages are incommensurate. You can't just take half between a man and an ape, it offends the dignity of the man and it cannot ennoble the ape.

Just kick them out.

OR, WA, NY all produce a sh-t ton of food. And TBH CA is enough for all of us.

1. CA
5. MN
6. IL
12. WA
19. CO
23. PA
25. NY
28. OR

We have 3 of the top 6, we'll be okay. Remember also our economy will be something like 5x the Slave States, so we can just buy their raw materials with our loose change.

I'd worry more about strategic metals.

A lot of the food we do produce goes to waste now. I think that would the least of our issues.

What happens to the military? That would be my concern.

You guys act like it would be a clean split along state lines.

The pacific states try to succeed and there’ll be militias with roadblocks on I-5 from north of the bay to Eugene.

MN ain't coming with. As much as I would love it to, it's buried far too deep behind enemy lines. Ditto on IL most likely.

I am all for being annexed by Canada, so we'd all be contiguous.

Gets rid of the Constitution, and now all our hockey is legitimate.

I see talk of trying to court Murkowski to get BBB passed. At a very broad level, it makes sense, since she’s currently getting outflanked on the right and RCV creates a unique situation where she made need some help by centrists.

On the other hand, recent polling doesn’t look as bleak as initial polling did for her in RCV and has her ahead in the primary, which means the general should be even easier for her, since no one voting for Gross is going to vote for the Tshibaka.

Throw enough pork in it and she may well cross.

What about Susie? She supposedly wanted women to have a choice. Why is she against paid leave and childcare?

The military will be divided Drew...but that is likely gonna happen when things go to pot in '24 anyways.

I dont...I expect states to fall apart. Minnesota will be a prime example of it. There are already Red areas here that want to leave for NoDak...this will get exasperated.

NY will be fun to watch as will Cali.

The Blue areas of the Midwest will form their own country which will be straight up allies with the Coastal States which will also be separate. The US will turn into Europe...

We'll have a NE Britain, a NY France, a Left Coast Scandinavia, and a Blue Great Lakes Germany. And then there will be an Appalachian Balkans, a Florida Western Med, a Texas Turkey, a Prairie Poland and a Big Sky Belarus. DC will be Monaco.

Yeah, if that happens then here it's gonna be Detroit vs. everyone else. Even some of the red suburban counties, like Macomb, are guaranteed to throw their lot in with the outstate derps. The further north in Oakland you go, the redder it gets. I don't know what would happen to the smaller blue pockets like Lansing, Flint, inner city Grand Rapids (their 'burbs are pretty deep red), etc.

Honestly Washington and Oregon will be the ones to watch. East of the Cascades will just join Idaho but it’s the rural areas in the western parts that will turn into a s-show. Like I said, militia road blocks on freeways and highways. Seattle and Portland will likely make Belfast look like a paradise.
