Schumer is claiming he’s found a way to pass a third reconciliation bill this year, citing some obscure section in the Congressional Budget Act of 1974.

Interesting. I wonder if this is why yesterday the idea of the Infrastructure Bill being 2 different proposals was making the rounds. Either that or maybe $15?

Any chance he had to dodge this died when he went on Tucker Carlson's Show and threw Tucker under the bus...while saying the DOJ had it out for him and was part of the extortion plot. Leaving aside the fact it was Bill Barr's DOJ that opened the investigation (bunch of Lib Commies!!1!) you don't openly antagonize the people who have access to all of the charges and evidence. They are going to make sure even the smallest pieces of evidence leak out and bury you. If he had just played it normal (i.e. how he did the first 12 hours of the scandal) it probably fizzles out. He threw a rock at a soldier holding a gun...not a good plan.

I did like how he tried to play off the prostitution angle by saying he was just "generous" with his lovers. He couldnt even stop himself from giggling over the lameness of that.

The escort defense of "I was just paying for dinner!" has such a successful history...


I'd say this guy is toast but the modern GOP has less than zero shame. I wouldn't be surprised if he refused to resign even if indicted. A competent Republican Party would quietly tell him they're going to primary him if he refuses to avoid another Roy Moore/Doug Jones situation, but are there any adults left with any say left in the party?


One interesting factoid. Last month our worthless former President listed who he felt was the future of the party. Gaetz was conspicuously absent.
