No doubt it’s close, especially on the covid checks, and likely even the expanded child tax credit. Golden apparently figures taking no credit for those two things is worth the trade-off of the “socialism” of the rest of the bill that will get railed against by the GOP as time passes.

Not likely. Trump loves her which means McCarthy has no power over her. Right now she and Gym Jordan are the true leadership of the House GOP.

They didn't stop her from preventing a bill that would have given the VA the money and authority to vaccinate all vets without a complicated process. She is beyond their reach. they are hoping to God she runs for Senate like Trump wants.

I too think MTG is safe, and in the still likely event the House switches back next year, she’s going to get her assignments back and then some. Her running for the Senate seat would likely split that far-right vote if Collins ran too. I guess we’ll wait and see how that shakes out.
