Not that I disbelieve that story, but considering how often RS gets things materially wrong (even on their core business of music), it irks me that MSNBC is citing them as a legitimate source.
 
Yeah I don't buy she was conned. Anyone who has the brain capacity to tie their shoes knew what the score was...

Maybe she was conned ;^)

I gotta admit...a Black Muslim Republican was not on my Bingo Card. I find it cute that the GOP's only plan is to try and oust Omar by running minorities against her. They think just because the candidate is the right demo they can trick people into voting for her. (cause apparently minorities dont pay attention to the issues or something) The GOP looks at minority voters with the same disdain Kepler views everyone he deems beneath him ;^)

edit: Holy crap check out the rest of her tweets...she is batchit MAGA crazy.

Yeah it takes two to tango. I don't see how she could be "deliberately manipulated". The details of his career and life were there plain as day for her to see, it is up to her whether she actually considers them at all, that's her responsibility. Even with something like whether he would respect precedent in RvW, even if he's lying during his hearings, well, it's not like you can do anything about it after you vote to confirm (yeah I know you can impeach a SCOTUS justice, fat change that ever happens again), so it's your job to determine whether you can trust him then and there, not years later. That's why you're 1 of the 100 entrusted to make that decision, so make it correctly.

To me this stinks of Collins putting it out there she was conned because looking dumb is better than looking evil. Like when Hillary said she was "duped" about Iraq because that sounded better than her being wrong. (which was just flat out dumb)

I highly doubt some Trump administration people went to Rolling Stone to mock Susan Collins. Politico I would buy maybe but Rolling Stone? I doubt they would even give Matt Taibbi that kind of access he he literally fellates those fascists along with Glenn Greenwald. (which makes me sad cause I used to like Taibbi)

"I'm shocked, shocked do you hear?"

But neither Collins nor Clinton were conned nor wrong. They knew the score and they made political decisions for their careers. There was no principle involved nor any merit of the evidence. They made a calculation. That is what they do on the Hill and the sooner people recognize it the better.

The committee keeps opening up cans of whoop ass on Trump. Over and over and over again. Where is Garland? Rumor has it he may have had breakfast this morning.
