No Schumer has been pushing for the 2001 set up...McConnell wanted it added that they would not nuke the filibuster. He said he will accept the 2001 set up without it now.

I am about to say something I have never said...Schumer made me a partial believer with his interview on Maddow. Still not totally sold cause he is a Democrat but he was not really mincing any words and seemed pretty confident he would win the fight with McConnell over the organizing rules. (the interview was earlier in the day and the news broke during the airing which was interesting)

McConnell has to be banking on the Sinema and Manchin staying true to their word...but since it isnt in the rules they can back out of that at any time.

He was almost giddy about it. I have never seen him like that before. Either he was bluffing or he had the votes for the nuclear option despite what Manchin and Sinema said publicly.

You mean the demographics where they are poor and sick? No he is looking at his mediocre polling and figuring this is his only way to stay in office. Well screw that assume you are dead and legislate like this is your last chance to do something meaningful. Same with Sinema...the Arizona GOP is going to nominate some Derp that has zero chance to take Maricopa County so act like you actually give two craps and help people.

I watched the whole interview and she did nothing of the kind. If someone on Twitter said that then they also probably think McConnell caving was some 5D chess where he outsmarted Schumer. (which I am seeing but not from anyone credible) I have never liked Schumer but that interview he sounded like a Majority Leader.

He's a sociopath. By rights he ought to be a Republican. And that's why Schumer either needs to bribe or blackmail him into keeping in line.

Sinema I don't get. Maricopa County put her in office and it's liberal. She and Kelly won't ever swing a Republican voter to them, so I don't think it is a good calculation to prevaricate and slober GOP knobs. Just call them out as liars. Western voters actually like Members who will fight.

On days I think I have pudding for brains, I can remember I am not him at least.

He also talked about his op-ed about being muzzled whilst being muzzled on Faux News.

Why is it that conservatives keep getting muzzled and I cant stop hearing them biotch about it?

When the GOP is out of power the whine goes up to 11. When they are in power they have no interest in listening to the other side at all. Narcissism is their JAM.
