In fairness Scoobs to even remember Watergate you'd have to be in at least your mid 50's by now and most people in their 70's are part of the cult and think Nixon was framed.
Having said that, can some legal beagle explain how executive privilege even applies here?

It's Trump with legal matters. With peons he threatens or ignores them, with authority he buries them in waves of paperwork that will take until 2021 to unpack

That isnt exactly news...people who paid attention knew he was a fraud long before he ran for president. His real estate scams were pretty well known he was just shielded by media like the New York Times because he would give them scoops and such. The Apprentice was the proof to a lot of people he was all hat and no cattle...but the masses ate it up cause it was on tv.
People like him win because they dont give up. He is the Black Knight in Holy Grail...

It's more fascinating to me that as a nation and as a people we never really gave a **** about the rule of law. Or rules in general. Never. It's all just a big game and an 18 Charisma score and some cash is all you need to win.

If you're in a cult, you're willing to overlook just about anything that the leader does. Chump isn't the first to take advantage of that and he won't be the last. Why do people fall for it? Can't answer that one but I suppose its a cure for loneliness and gives members a sense of purpose.

The Founders have been dead for 200 years. We are this country. We create it every day by what we do. It's up to us to make good on democracy and freedom. Boohooing about it doesn't help anyone but the entrenched interests who benefit from the status quo.

In a two party system if one party has completely checked out there is no country anymore. Sorry. Not boo hoo. Just reality. The entire Republican Party is worthless to humanity. And they have, by design, at least 50% of the power and pull in the US. This is our system, and, quite frankly, I used to believe in it.
I'm also not going to deny reality. And, this is reality.

I sadly disagree. This is a flaw in our system. Our system is a two party system and the GOP has found the major flaw and exploited it. And, they continue to exploit it over and over and over again. The only way to fix it is to get Republicans/Conservatives/Fox Viewers to care about the system enough to stop exploiting it. Hell will freeze over before that happens.
