115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Nobody should tell her to shut up and I'm going to whine about that but when dems criticize their own it's also not good and they shouldn't do that because they'll lose.

Gives Scooby something to complain about either way so knowing him I can see the appeal of that logic :D

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

It's funny. I can't imagine why McCaskill gets told to shut-up, but Bernie, who also lost and was out-of-touch with reality on certain subjects, doesn't? Hmm, can't figure out why that would be...

Nobody's telling McCaskill to shut up. We're telling her she's not doing herself any favors. She can talk about how the Dems should apparently become more conservative in order to win in Missouri all she wants, but I think she's got too narrow a perspective that revolves around her situation as opposed to the country as a whole.

Also plenty of people are sick of Bernie's schtick. Methinks the old codger is going to be surprised the first time somebody tells him he's wrong in a debate since he got treated with kid gloves the last time around.

Well thit, it's not like she's staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Have you been to the big island? I stayed at the fairmont a few years ago. It’s not Oahu - less supply and high prices.

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

“GOP Maine Gov. Paul LePage certified that Democrat Jared Golden won a House race in the state, but wrote "stolen election" next to his signature in protest of the state's new ranked-choice voting system.”

Adding editorial commentary to the margins of official documents to own the libs.

So what? I guess I dont much care what she does during the shutdown since she is shutting it down to not waste money on a stupid wall no one wants. She isnt using taxpayer money so who cares? Oh you cause your are a concern troll.

I assume we will see an article from one of your "legit" sites talking about the bad optics of Trump wasting taxpayer money having SS go to Mar-A-Lago with him? Oh wait the Daily Mirror doesnt care about that...

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Donnie decided to shut this down all by himself, he can rot in the White House. I hope he gets cut off from Diet Coke shipments

Nancy has no power yet. She can vacation in bora bora for all I care

Excellent. So glad we haven't forgotten Ayn Rand Masturbation Boy's part in all this.

So after apparently jealous remarks aimed towards the new Dems, McCaskill gets hers from Ocasio-Cortez. I wouldn't be surprised if McCaskill is turning slowly GOP with age. It happens.

Good. I don't get why McCaskill doesn't understand that these working class fears she speaks of are usually driven by racism. If the Dems are going to appeal to Missouri voters they're going to have to go all in on racial resentment and scapegoating of the threat du jour (immigrants, blacks, gays...it changes every year).

The top of the national ticket shouldn't appeal to those seeking free everything. Healthcare coverage is enough.

On the other hand, we don't really care about where McCaskill wants to direct the party either. We need to understand the difference between La Crosse and Springfield. La Crosse voted for Obama. Springfield settled for Romney after David Duke decided not to run...but Trump is more its taste.

AOC and McCaskill both have something critically wrong, which is that there is any way to appeal to Republican voters. There isn't unless the GOP candidate is buggering underage children (see Moore, Roy). McCaskill is thinking the party can speak to their concerns but it can't unless screwing over non-whites is part of the official Dem party platform. AOC is wrong in thinking that economic populism will turn these voters into Dems. It won't. Missouri voters could very well vote for a higher minimum wage or legalized weed or Medicaid expansion, but they're still going to turn around and vote Trump because he's promising to bring back the 1950's complete with the bigotry and voter suppression.

Agree across the board. Would rather McCaskill didn't go there...she looked bitter - which is not the tone the party wants to send - and gave the right cred in terms of criticizing the 'extreme lefts take over of the Dems'.
