If I were you I would also divest soon...the coming market correction is going to be painful. The last two times something like this happened the market crashed ('87) and the economy died. ('08)

I'm considering what to do. I think I'm thinking I may move what little I have to a safer mutual fund. I'll have to start studying up.

How does that square with what Nancy said about Obamacare? Oh, and I reread the context of that quote. It was misconstrued. In this case it's not. It's amazing how these people always get to have their cake and eat it.

Good rule of thumb is, the less you know something about the markets, the more experts there are who not only can crush you but would delight in doing so, and the more your potential losses are.

Shorting anything or playing options should be left to the sharks.

I figure if the Dem Wave hits in 2018 you will see the sharks start shorting figuring a full reversal will come in 2020. Hell just news of Flynn being indicted caused the market to take a hit. Wall Street is betting high on Trump and the GOP because big business is cashing in but the Dow can only masquerade the problems for so long. When consumer spending craps the bed in a few years and the housing market stagnates it is going to get very bad very quick.

The left murdering a justice and Senators saying "Oh no you don't" constitutes stealing a seat?

Also, one generation paying for another is completely unsustainable, as is being proved today. And your inability to diversify does not constitute an emergency on our part.

Since this is personal I will respond.

1. No one on the left murdered Scalia. Lay off the crack.
2. Social Security is entirely sustainable and nothing you have shown nor anyone else has shown shows otherwise.
3. I'm plenty diversified. That isn't the issue.

But the criminals will be long gone from their current positions by then.

What the 1% really need is to know the date the economy will implode. Then they can plan accordingly. But having saboteurs all through the government they may have finally secured their perfect vertical monopoly. Quietly move their money out, trigger the collapse, bankrupt the serfs, rinse and repeat.

1. The curtain's drawn. Your lies no longer hold clout.
2. Then why are there tons of issues surrounding paying out with the baby boomers retiring, along with pushes to severely reduce benefits?
3. If you're diversified, you're one step ahead of many in this country, and should continue to lead by example. Continue to prepare your family well.

Already been done. Been doing it every 7 years or so up to 2008 during each crash. And there are clues even you can see. Just look at Federal Reserve policies.

Federal Reserve folk aren't elected, they're appointed. Plus, it was a Democrat who established the Federal Reserve: Woodrow Wilson.
