Re: 0 Days Since Last Shooting: Reset The Calendar Again

I assume the gunman was standing his ground, given that it's Florida.

Re: 0 Days Since Last Shooting: Reset The Calendar Again

Is this a real number?

No. The true classification is four people who are unknown to each other killed excluding the shooter. Some extreme left groups have tried changing it in recent times, but the real rate hasn't changed much.

Re: 0 Days Since Last Shooting: Reset The Calendar Again

60 Minutes did a great job on Sunday covering the Conceal and Carry Reciprocity legislation.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kroft-talks-guns-and-concealed-carry-reciprocity-act/

This bill is the top priority of the NRA.

EDIT: By the way. The NRA is ****ing nuts and has lost their minds.

The states that have constitutional carry haven't really had any problems with it, which is honestly a little surprising for me. If this passed I don't think there would be much change in the number of gun deaths, but you might see a decline in robbery type crimes.

Apparently the NRA came out with some whacky ad a few days ago. I haven't seen it, but read its pretty far out there. I think they should stick to guns and not get mixed up in anything else.

When do we give Florida back to the pirates?

It'd be great if we could get back to the NRA of the 60s, when they promoted responsible gun ownership, safety education programs, and didn't have a knee-jerk defense for every white, male, concealed-carry whackadoodle shooting an unarmed black guy because "self-defense".

Sadly, that era is over.

The NRA still does a lot of wonderful things that do not get any attention. Some of the political stuff has gotten whacky though.

The Taliban collected the garbage on time.

In the 60s guys weren't waving guns around because their dicks didn't work.

The number, I am assuming was for school shootings, and that was the 12th of the year. So closer to one every four days, but yeah.

And no Drew, there is no formal definition of mass shooting, but yours seems especially odd. Four people that are unknown to each other??? So someone decides to mow down the Duggars and that doesn't count?

See link in my other post. I thought that an incident like the one you describe would be more of a domestic situation(depending on the shooter) versus a mass shooting but I could be wrong.
