I own a gun. But the concealed carry people are pretty nuts, in my opinion. Every single one of them that I've met can't wait for the day they get to pull their gun and be a hero. Apparently they also live their entire life so in fear they feel like they need a gun with them at all times.

This has been my experience at work as well. it's not that they worry about the "fifteen minutes" scenario -- they are actively cheering for it. It's their Judgment Day. They are all Bernard Goetz, jerking himself off thinking about the day he gets to be Harry Callahan.

Everybody but me at my work owns a gun. Half the gun owners are concealed carry advocates. The other gun owners think they're freaks.

From the Heller decision. These idiots want to go beyond what even Scalia thought was right.

On pp. 54 and 55, the majority opinion, written by conservative bastion Justice Antonin Scalia, states: “Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited…”. It is “…not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.”

“Nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.”

“We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms. Miller (an earlier case) said, as we have explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those “in common use at the time”. We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of ‘dangerous and unusual weapons.’ ”

The court even recognizes a long-standing judicial precedent “…to consider… prohibitions on carrying concealed weapons.”

The NRA is so dedicated to the safety of America, and has such a common sense agenda even the Russians are donating millions of dollars to them.

BTW, another high school shooting today, with the shooter still at-large in Florida.

Seen some retweeting kids pictures from inside classrooms where they are locked in.
Thankfully nothing bad seen in them.
