Guns are to protect us from our government. We must have them! Just look how it worked 250 yrs ago. Im sure it would be the same today if we needed to overthrow our oppressors! ;)

I guess I would be curious what sort of investigation the police did. You and others are right that you can’t just detain someone, but what exactly was the interaction between her and the police? And what did they do to prepare YouTube?

It’s frustrating for me that in these last two shootings law enforcement was tipped off and didn’t do much to prevent them.

Here's the rub.

Imagine a world where there's no guns. Would it really be imperative to address her...or the thousand reportings to the police of individuals likely to go on shooting sprees?

Did not, or legally could not? You want to remove people's rights by doing something so that you can keep your fun guns.

How is that better than tightening up the 2nd? Honestly?

You are suggesting that we ignore people's rights and jail them up for mere threats. So that we can have high capacity magazines and fast firing rates.

Why should we compromise more of the rest of the Amendments for your fun?

Mass availability and pervasiveness of guns makes society more dangerous. If we can't get closure on that, gun control is a circular argument rather than simply implemented.

There are a lot more who defend Drew in this country. NRA's one of the largest organizations in the country. Just because a few brainwashed collegians don't agree doesn't mean the majority disagrees.

Best estimates put NRA membership at around 4 million, or about 1.2% of the population. So yeah no.

That's the thing, there's no evidence that the cops did anything wrong here. It's just post-hoc criticism because Drew doesn't want common sense gun laws.

Uh, no. There are actual people who want to defend the ENTIRE document, and not just the 2nd.

And it's been less than 50 year since the NRA had reasonable people running it, and were supportive of gun restrictions. It wasn't until the NRA became a lobby group for the gun industry that they brainwashed you into think that this was the ONLY amendment that matters. It's not, all the rest have reasonable restrictions on them. Of course, ignoring the much harsher restrictions that you and the NRA want to put on a number of the other amendments.

All so you can have you fun. Congratulations for another killing spree. You earned it.

Let me know when you're ready to defend the entire document, and we'll talk. Because I am. And having to repeatedly call out a specific amendment means the corresponding pundits don't. Just because I don't like a clause or amendment doesn't mean I'll try to circumvent it. There's an appropriate process.
