0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

After reading these threads for a few years and following the debate through the news it’s crystal clear to me that the only thing the anti gun crowd cares about is punishing gun owners/Republicans/rural folks. I know people here will deny it until they’re blue in the face, but it’s true. I actually support gun control that would save lives, as I’m sure most gun owners do. As long as Bloomberg and that crowd is around I doubt we will ever see it.

Says the guy who thinks not allowing mentally handicapped people to buy a gun is "punishment".

If you're taking a tweet that cites Reddit as a reliable news source, you've gone off the deep end.

If the tweet cites CNN, FOX, NYT, WaPo, AP, etc. then it would seem reliable.

Huh? People are saying the account on Reddit is the shooter; the account is still being used; the shooter is dead; therefore...

Not opposed to mental health restrictions at all.

Unless that mental health report says that their capacity is so limited they can't manage their household finances, and then it's just a devious plot by Obama to take law-abiding citizens guns away.

I’m okay with limiting people based on mental problems, I’m not okay limiting them because of their financial situation.

For the millionth time, it's not about their finances. This has been explained to you over and over again. You still don't comprehend the difference.

It's about them being too mentally ill to be able to comprehend and understand how to responsibly manage them.

Right, if you need to just ignore the part about "finances" entirely, the people in question are basically deemed mentally incompetent by the state and can't take care of themselves.

But despite that, Drew thinks they should still be able to keep their guns.

I mean every time there’s an inner city shooting or a gang shooting I think to myself, that’s ok. I just want to punish the rurals and republicans. No worries that handguns are so accessible to everyone

I actually support gun control that would save lives

A full ban on all firearms with a buyback program would save more lives than any half measures. You're on board I assume?

Yet when common sense regulations like not allowing people deemed mentally incompetent to have a gun are introduced, you screamed to high heaven.

Nice try pretending to be a moderate, though.

See my other posts. If they’re banned strictly on the basis of their mental health condition I am fine with that.

SO you havent actually spent any time reading what people actually say. Spoken like a true idiot...err...Republican.

But, you don't want doctors writing any notes that people are incapable of owning a firearm because then the caregivers can steal away the bank accounts of those people.

Thus, give Scooby his Bradly Fighting Machine. With grenades.
