BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

If Buffalo has any interest in signing McCarthy they would do it this year
don't let players become seniors with free agency available

Has BU ever played in this opening round game since they went to this format? Either as a home or away team? I'm drawing a blank.
Since they went to a 1-game opening round after COVID? No. Since they went to byes for the Top 4 (or 5) in 2014, and the rest play in the Opening Round? Yes. In 2014, the 1st round was a single game, and BU was a #9 seed that lost to #8 Notre Lame 3-2. In 2016, BU was a #5 seed and swept #12 seed UmAss 2-1 in OT and 6-4 (and then got swept by Lowell in the quarterfinals).

Besides the likely 4 early departures does anyone think these 4 could hit the portal Harvey, Svoboda, Fondryk, Bednarik ? Could be a total rebuild next year
I don't see why Bednarik and Svoboda would look to the portal. They are sophomores that have big roles on this team. I doubt Harvey would, he plays top 6 minutes. I suppose Fondrk could as a sort of "reset" but that would surprise me.

There will be three first round pick centers on the team next year (2 in the top 10). I would assume it depends whether they (or their NHL teams) want them to play wing or play center somewhere else

I haven't quite given up on Hutson and Eiserman staying. Both have been off their game this year and another year to get back to their form would be smart. I won't miss Boumedienne.

I don't see Harvey, Svoboda, or Bednarik moving, Fondryk maybe (but I hope not), Others possible jumpers could be Feldberg, Kim, and maybe McNelis. There's a huge bunch of talent coming in.

Just a constant parade to the penalty box. In midseason form!
They look gawd awful tonight and Maine is down 2-0. Lazy, uninspired and stupid is no way to enter the playoffs. Their offensive execution is horrendous. Lowell is outchancing BU significantly. Hutson playing like dog crap again

This will teach Jay not to make the forwards walk from comm ave up to Lowell while having them carry the equipment bags….. the poor boys are too tired to get back into rushes.
Jay plays with fire….fafo 💁🏾

The old Terriers are back on the ice, alas, just in time to make a short exit from the playoffs.

BU , Maine , UMass and BC competing for the biggest choke of the night . What a horrible conference this year. PC despite being a very good not great team running away with conference speaks volumes.

Well BU, you gave us a slight bit of hope last weekend,Thank you for not continuing to lead us on. See you in October for a much better season.

Well, I think the silver lining(if you could call it that) is we don’t have to play at BC in a QF. That was our gift if we won. Now home against Vermont, then QF at UConn with a win.

But I agree, that game was rough. Penalties, passing up shots for an extra pass that isn’t there, turnovers, not scoring on power plays(including a 5 x 3) Greatest hits of all of the worst of this year.
