BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

Twitter/X reporting Sascha Boisvert going pro when BU's season is over. Whether he leaves or doesn't, I feel like it's not kosher to release that info before the season is actually over. Now I really want them to go far into the playoffs. That would be funny.
Yeah, good riddance. This was a bad fit from day one. Live and learn.

Hopefully Sascha enjoys the forever rebuilding Blackhawks. Or more likely, lovely Rockford Illinois.

Chicago’s only 11 points out of the wild card…maybe he’ll push them over the top🤣

He doesn’t appear big enough to handle the traditional goon role, while talent displayed is Rockford at best 🙄
At least for a couple 3 seasons💁🏿
Either way, always best of luck to a terrior….

Addition by subtraction?

I like that the GM thinks his game is more suited for the pros. I didn’t know the pro game requires you to lose puck battles and miss the net
There was a time when teams wanted their guys at BU getting a year of weightlifting and a year of playing both ends of the ice…not sure that worked out that way for #9. I think we will see 7, 38, 11, 91, 8, 10 all benefit from their time on Comm Ave

So just Sasha with the 2 coles will leave “early”?

Will the other Sasha go due to his fall back this year? Do the jets think he needs a new place to increase the development track 🤔

Lawrence didn’t come in and play so well that he will go all that early and get a team to chase his arrival (plus he is quite young).

They getting a shitload of recruits coming? Going to chase veterans in the portal?

If maybe it is only these 4 leaving plus Owen, the lone Sr, that is 5 openings. D’Amico returns.

Someone noted in the recruiting thread that one of the recruits is now going to Cornell. So I'm guessing we might be thinning the herd.

If the standing remain as they are today I think the BU path is Vermont (H), UMass (A), Providence (TD), UConn (TD)…is that how others see it? One game at a time and all, just plotting the only path that gets them into the dance

This ain’t the 90s. Go for established players on the other teams. Bring back about 5 players from this roster

Besides the likely 4 early departures does anyone think these 4 could hit the portal Harvey, Svoboda, Fondryk, Bednarik ? Could be a total rebuild next year

So, after last night's games it seems there are two scenarios:

UNLIKELY:
BU wins, Maine loses to UVM. BU moves up to 5th. Bye on Wednesday the 11th. Away game at Conte on Saturday March 14.

MORE LIKELY:
BU wins, Maine wins. BU stays at 6th, hosts UVM on Wednesday the 11th.

I think both scenarios are the same even if BU loses. Merrimack is a point behind BU but their season is done so they can't jump us. In the UNLIKELY situation, if UMass loses to UNH tomorrow and BC wins, then BU goes to UMass on the 14th. I do not see Maine losing to UVM though.

Totally possible I got something wrong here so please correct me!

I’m not trying to pick on them. But how are they not replaceable?
Flushing an entire team and starting over each year is not the road to success. I know this is how it's done in college basketball now, but this isn't college basketball.

Thanks for the playoff scenarios Scarlet. I'm selfishly rooting for the Likely scenario. I want to go back to Agganis for one last game. #HockeyMasochist
