Holy fuck. That’s way, way more than usual. Normally they target 10-16. My wife had 20. Two viable. One currently on ice.

Yeah, a downside of being very on social media for almost 20 years was losing some social skills. In this case, proactively letting people know big things going on in my life. Obviously this is made even worse by now being OFF most of it.

True, and there's nothing to do but wait it out.....unless you're my husband who decided to take the kid to the doctor today, to have the doctor confirm what we thought, gastroenteritis - hydrate, rest, bland foods, whatever she'll stomach. It's hard though when you can't fix it for them or at least make it better.

They really aren't and people don't give you much sympathy.
My advice is binge TV. It's really the only thing you can do when you are trapped within a 15-second radius of your toilet.

My wife and I are pretty set on the ship having sailed, but she has consistently said that if we had any kids, she would only want a daughter. And of course, she'd be spoiled.

The main thing I learned as a parent is other parents are remarkably stupid.
It is much easier to avoid the stupid after you get out on your own, but then your kid just gets thrown back among them.
I guess every generation of humans needs to discover for themselves what they are surrounded by.

Humor comes from others’ misery. My wife sent me this.
[Daughter] spilled a huge ice cream in the car I guess? And onto herself. Now I am at the game, which doesn’t have bleachers for fans, and [daughter] has to poop. And wants to change into her sweatshirt instead of her wet shirt. Off to a great start.
Oh and [grandma and grandpa] picked her up at the moment [daycare] was going to bake cookies so she was upset about that.
