Hakeem Jeffries just read the "red words"* of Jesus back to the Republicans in the House and they sat silently bemoaning their good book being used against them.




* I follow a nurse on TikTok named Jen Hamilton, and when MAGA posted a few things about her, she dropped a video of her just flipping through her Bible and reading the Beatitudes word for word. Certain new editions of the Bible print the words of Jesus in red to stand out. The scripture reading did not sit well with MAGA and they tried to bully her both online and in person, to the point that they tried contacting the Texas health board to get her RN status removed. A nursing conference she attended last week actually paid for additional security for her..
 
He is so useless.

The evangelicals will just say that Satan can quote the Bible too, and in fact they were "warned" that The Beast would be very good at it. :rolleyes:
 
Even if people start to feel the pain the Dems will message it all wrong and pass off most of their base by not dealing with immigration/ICE and minority issues. Add in a sprinkle of ignoring a genocide and...well you get the idea.

TBF, given ICE’s new budget, immigration and minority issues might not be relevant to the new voting public…

What would you have him do? He whipped his entire caucus and held the line. He fought to get stuff pulled out of the bill. I’d say he’s been pretty effective on this bill.

He will be speaker, almost certainly. My only major complaint over the last week or two were his shitty comments on Zohran.

On this...nothing my statement is about his overall performance as Minority Leader which is just putrid. He and Schumer are the example why no likes the Dems.

He stinks on Immigration, he stinks on Gaza, he stinks on Zohran...he is not a leader. He cant even give a rousing speech...its the same 5 talking points that no one listens too. He and Ken Martin are not ready for Prime Time.

Ding ding ding. They are pathetic and terrible leaders. I’m not gonna hand out praise for a fucking speech, when they’ve fumbled everything for so long

House is only thing Dems have a chance of winning back if there are elections and that won’t be enough to fix
