UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Understand both sides of the argument and think both are valid. I agree that charging admission just to come and look at the arena is a bad look. However, someone mentioned a potential arena unveiling, football ticket and drink voucher package that seems like a great idea. This is the kind of...

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Love all the discussion so early in the offseason, excitement around the program continues to build. Since we’re all doing it, my take on the lines. Poirier - Lapinski - Nadeau Freel - Scott - Marques Fowler - Komarov - Russell Scholle - James - Gerrior Holt - Chabrier Coughlin -...

Maine Recruits: When Ashes Fall, Legends Rise

Another great add for the staff, they are on a roll. Will be a shame if he doesn’t arrive this fall, and I fear it puts him at risk to never arrive in Orono.

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I have suspected this too but I have no factual evidence to back it up. Maine hockey feels like a cash machine right now. Between the hiring of Barr, the Alfond donation, facilities overhaul, success of the program, Maine feels like one of the it programs in the country. The details are there...

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I thought I saw that they extended the deadline and Maine is reevaluating until 6/30. To me it’s a signal that Maine may be opting in.

Huge news on Marques, this team is shaping up very very nicely. Can’t wait for October.

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I made a comment the other day about not knowing how our CHL guys stack up against what the other schools are getting. Does anyone have an idea on class rankings? Maine has the most committed/incoming players from the CHL so it would appear we’re ahead of the curve. The talent that is incoming...

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Coaching staff deserves a ton of credit for this incredible class. They kept last years squad competing at the top of D1 while also keeping eyes on the future and reloading. Probably the best recruiting class since the Nyquist class.

I’ve also noticed no announcement of Usereau. I’m excited for him as well so hoping he hasn’t de committed. Side note is his Instagram still has commitment announcement and he follows Maine hockey and they follow him. If that changes I’d consider him gone.

Maine Recruits: When Ashes Fall, Legends Rise

As expected, Will Gerrior signs announced by the team page today. Excited to see what he can do, we’ve been asking for some shoot first players and he appears to be one.

Maine Recruits: When Ashes Fall, Legends Rise

Curious to see how our CHL guys stack up compared to the other schools. On paper, this would be the best d core in the country last season but I’m imagining everyone else’s talent level going up a notch or two as well.

Antonacci to the portal. A bit surprised by that but perhaps it’s a sign of things to come in terms of landing additional talent from the CHL.

Can only confirm what we’ve all thought. Gavin McKenna to Maine lol

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I’m optimistic for next year. This class is extremely strong on the back end. It will also be a real test for the coaching staff to continue to maximize players potential. The sign of a good program is one that can reload rather than rebuild. BC and BU can obviously do it, we’ve seen...

University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Looks like a solid pickup, a lineup ready dman. Hoping they still go after Houle. My fear is that this indicates Holt/Djurasevic are not 100% coming back.
