    All things considered this weekend wasn’t a complete disaster. A full road weekend against an AHA school is asking for trouble. Good battle back but the penalties during the 3rd and overtime need to be cleaned up

    I would imagine Scholle goes to the wing when Scott comes back and when Komarov plays (which had me shocked he was scratched if that was the case). There shouldn’t be a need to play him there, that said I thought the Fowler, Scholle, Alfano line was effective.

    Love that road win. Obviously not a super high quality opponent but Holy Cross has been respectable the past few years. How many times did we see Maine grind out a road game like that last year? Not many so it feels good to see a more blue collar mentality.

    Boys are flying around, not sure there is any super high end talent but these guys are getting hard and smart far. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but that first power play were more urgency than we’ve seen on the pp in previous years.

    I like the way this team is starting to shape up. Barr clearly cleaned house and went after grinders. Looking at the roster, it seems like a lot of second liners which I am okay with. No reason they can’t make the tourney if they can’t sort out their home ice struggles from a year ago.

    Agreed and I think we’re overvaluing scheduling western teams to begin with. Quinnipiac is perennial top 10 team and so that is our high quality OOC matchup. Wouldn’t mind rounding out the rest of the schedule with someone better than Bentley and Holy Cross but this idea that we have to schedule...

    Best of luck to him. Terrific talent and worked hard. I hate commenting on body language but he never seemed to really buy in at least from the interviews I saw. Looking forward to seeing this year’s Maine team, I think these guys are going to leave it all out there, regardless of the talent...

    Shades of Liam Pecararo years ago. Hopefully he doesn’t turn into as good of a player as Pecararo did. Wasn’t the right fit at Maine so wish him the best.
