People who take public transportation don't have issues with parking. Madison also has world class biking infrastructure. Be proud of what we have.

That doesn't do me one bit of good being an out of towner.
Neither of those matter when you're coming from out of town or when its freezing and snowing.

There are excellent park and rides at major bus terminals all around Madison.
I had looked into this once because we drive in from Baraboo. It's a good idea but in reality becomes a bit impractical. There is a Park & Ride on the far west side on Junction Road, but the bus service is more limited on evenings and weekends. Plus, to arrive at LaBahn an hour (or slightly more) early, we would need to perfectly catch a bus with plenty of time to spare coming in. Park and Ride lots are set up for commuters to work or for people who don't have a fixed timetable ("let's go to the Children's Museum today"). They aren't so practical for women's hockey fans. A more practical alternative might be to find a parking spot in Middleton or in the Hilldale area (which we pass on our way in) and take a bus from there.

Good news for you!
I received an email just this afternoon (Sept 24th) saying that tickets will be available for download on Sept 23rd, and a second email will come when they are ready.
Seriously, you can't make this stuff up! LOL
I just checked: the tickets for the BU series are still not available for download, etc.

An hour after that first email, a second email came, telling me tickets were available for download. So I checked again. And during the last twenty minutes, my "magic" season ticket can now be downloaded. But the other single-game ticket I bought for a friend for BU is still not downloadable.

Glad to hear you're looking into it. I routinely transfer through Junction on the way downtown. It takes a while to get used to the schedules but they usually work out.
If you drive to the west side, you can also park by the Alicia Ashman library and take the R in a straight, 21-minute shot to East Campus.
Been commuting to games of all sports since we moved to Madison in 1993 - have never lived close to campus. Had football tix for 20 seasons and both nights of men's hockey for at least 10 years. Sprinkle in volleyball, women's hockey, hoops and even softball.
There's never been parking for any of it other than a few ramps that season ticket holders can purchase if they have seniority. Gotta find street parking most of the time. It's just how it's always been.
Have never found it to be a big deal including in bad weather.
What's the problem?
And why do we need our tickets over a week out?
