Do you really want to do this all again?Acknowledging a problem is the first step in recovery
I agree that those days are gone, but what is frustrating is that the fan experience has not improved at all with the increase in prices. If anything, it has gotten worse. (This has been a topic of conversation over the years so I won't repeat what we've lost.) I understand that one answer to this is that "times have changed and everything is more expensive, so this is just a 'treading water' rise in price--you don't get anything more for the increased price." But the AD never says that. If the AD says anything, it's to tout the great "fan experience." Volleyball's facilities (ex. jumbotron) and atmosphere (ex. band present for every game) have all been improved in the last four years. Women's hockey facilities and atmosphere have not. So, the escalating prices are frustrating.Interest (and demand) in women's sports has outpaced inflation exponentially in that time frame.
I remember buying a playoff volleyball game less than 10 years ago for under $10.
Those days are gone.
I told you that I heard it from a family member of hers....and it wasn't shared in confidence, on the sly or in any way indicating that it was breaking news...it was "she got a great job with a medical device company and is really excited"...Do you really want to do this all again?
OK. Once again, here's my "problem".
You guys won't say how you came to know a piece of information. When I ask WHY you won't say how you came to know this piece of information, you won't answer that question, in any substantive way.
I am left to draw my own conclusion. And that conclusion I draw is you guys know that you were told this information - directly, or maybe one degree removed from directly - in confidence; that it was in some way confidential, and should not be repeated. And at some level, consciously or sub-consciously, you *know* you're not supposed to be sharing it. Otherwise, there'd be no reason for you to not simply explain how you came to know it. You know at some level that you, or your "source", has violated that "confidence".
Put more simply, as I have repeatedly said, if you know but aren't supposed to say, THEN DON'T SAY!
YES!!!I told you that I heard it from a family member of hers....and it wasn't shared in confidence, on the sly or in any way indicating that it was breaking news...it was "she got a great job with a medical device company and is really excited"...
You want me to be more specific than THAT???
You've got serious issues my man. Seek counseling.YES!!!
WHY NOT BE?
Once more, it is a simple concept. Would the family member have any reason to object to you NAMING them specifically as the person who told you about Enright's decision, etc? Would they have any reason to not want you to disclose the circumstances under which you and they had this conversation? If they would have no such objection, then why not simply do so. If yes, then there is some level of "confidentiality" that you are not comfortable disclosing, because you're aware of theit 'discomfort'.You've got serious issues my man. Seek counseling.
I can not imagine being a person in your life when you are this argumentative
You can't possibly think there's an important distinction between "A family member told me XYZ" and "Her brother told me XYZ".YES!!!
WHY NOT BE?
I can, and do.You can't possibly think there's an important distinction between "A family member told me XYZ" and "Her brother told me XYZ".
Quit while you're behind on this. For all of our sake.
Disagree 1000%. I want as much "inside" info as possible to be shared here. One of the best parts of this community, is hearing the behind-the-scenes stuff.Do you really want to do this all again?

Agree! She scored goals against a very weak u18 goal squad! Last year at the nationals she didn’t look so hot lol imo tremblay will turn heads and she has the size. Nela hasn’t played enough games against top North American players but I believe she has a much higher ceiling then Milani.Milani as Primerano did will have here eyes opened to the reality that she should not have accelerated her college career
100%!!! She didn’t do much at nationals and bigger players knocked her easily off the puck and she would try to go up the middle and get taken out. She comes from a hockey family and got pushed through because of that. There are 3-4 ED players I watched last year that I would put ahead of her.Milani will struggle mightily in college. Watched her extensively the last few years and I just don't get the hype
That's more than a little petty. JMHO of course.I can, and do.
You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine.Disagree 1000%. I want as much "inside" info as possible to be shared here. One of the best parts of this community, is hearing the behind-the-scenes stuff.
If it's so juicy that someone wouldn't want it to be repeated, then it's all the more interesting and valuable.
Actually, what's happening here is you're telling people to stop sharing their inside information, and I'm encouraging them to continue to share it, even without full disclosure of their source. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine.
If you want the topic to "go away", then stop coming back to it.
I can, and do.you
Look at the thread. After Enright's name was taken down from the roster page, I posted "disappointed... good luck to her" etc.Actually, what's happening here is you're telling people to stop sharing their inside information, and I'm encouraging them to continue to share it, even without full disclosure of their source.
Thought it was important to make clear that not everyone wants them to shut up. In fact I think you're the only one.

And while we're at it, is there some reason why you are posting here anonymously? If it's all so 'out in the open", etc, why be anonymous?
