Interest (and demand) in women's sports has outpaced inflation exponentially in that time frame.

I remember buying a playoff volleyball game less than 10 years ago for under $10.

Those days are gone.

OK. Once again, here's my "problem".

You guys won't say how you came to know a piece of information. When I ask WHY you won't say how you came to know this piece of information, you won't answer that question, in any substantive way.

I am left to draw my own conclusion. And that conclusion I draw is you guys know that you were told this information - directly, or maybe one degree removed from directly - in confidence; that it was in some way confidential, and should not be repeated. And at some level, consciously or sub-consciously, you *know* you're not supposed to be sharing it. Otherwise, there'd be no reason for you to not simply explain how you came to know it. You know at some level that you, or your "source", has violated that "confidence".

Put more simply, as I have repeatedly said, if you know but aren't supposed to say, THEN DON'T SAY!

I agree that those days are gone, but what is frustrating is that the fan experience has not improved at all with the increase in prices. If anything, it has gotten worse. (This has been a topic of conversation over the years so I won't repeat what we've lost.) I understand that one answer to this is that "times have changed and everything is more expensive, so this is just a 'treading water' rise in price--you don't get anything more for the increased price." But the AD never says that. If the AD says anything, it's to tout the great "fan experience." Volleyball's facilities (ex. jumbotron) and atmosphere (ex. band present for every game) have all been improved in the last four years. Women's hockey facilities and atmosphere have not. So, the escalating prices are frustrating.

I told you that I heard it from a family member of hers....and it wasn't shared in confidence, on the sly or in any way indicating that it was breaking news...it was "she got a great job with a medical device company and is really excited"...

You want me to be more specific than THAT???
