MAGA in a nutshell, except that all their voters from the middle class down don't realize every economic move the GQP makes is not in their best interest.

The irony of affluent liberal voters voting to pay more taxes and help low and middle class conservatives on one hand and low and middle class conservatives voting to get less help and lower taxes for affluent liberal voters.

Hard to feel sorry for people who voted to hurt themselves and help me when I voted to help them. At no cost to them.

A German posted something on Twitter years ago that has stuck with me. It was essentially: Americans say Germans are selfish. Really? We vote for higher taxes for ourselves so the less fortunate among us have health care, a social safety net and good wages. You vote for lower taxes, let people die because they can't afford health care, shred the social safety net and let people suffer on poverty wages. I guess we just have different ideas of what makes people selfish.

One other thing that makes it hard to feel bad for them- they also voted to gut public education, right? Which ends up meaning that they lessen the odds of sending their kids to college so that they could even have the opportunity to do what we did. They may be smart kids, but without a piece of paper from a college, they can't get specific jobs that all pay well.

But we could have easily sent kids to school has we had any.

The suffering they have put onto their generations will never end, all for hate.

Too many of them have experienced the pain of sending their kid off to college and having them come back smarter than them with all these weird ideas about equality, human rights and climate change... Better to keep them sheltered at home and away from a college campus where they might get indoctrinated. Besides, kids who work the fields don't need no fancy book learnin'

ETA: Now many of those same people complain about how their kids have moved away and never talk to them anymore. But they're convinced it is someone else's fault for brainwashing their kids, it's never the parents' fault...
