2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

Sounds like the election security speech last night was a big nothing burger. All he did was stir up the conspiracy theorists. Anyone with a functioning cortex was not moved.
 
There were no new facts.

Dumpy is still butthurt about losing.

He made growling noises that the only legitimate election is one he wins.
 
Nearly 200 people from my county signed up to be delegates. We have 16 spots.

A meet and greet is scheduled for the high school at 1pm Sunday for the voters to meet the prospective delegates. The meeting will start at 3pm with voting commencing soon after. Voting will be done electronically so physical presence at the meeting is not required. Just be registered so they can send the link. It is open to all registered Democrats in Maine as of June 9th. I just signed my mom up to be a voter and the process takes seconds.
 
Just heard from a friend in neighboring Cumberland County. There are 149 delegates and over 3600 candidates to fill them. Unreal. As if she has time to read through 3600 statements so she can cast a ballot for 149 people this weekend.

I checked the pdf file on the Maine Dems website and there are 1200 pages of candidates for delegate. Wow...

Some PAC is running an ad saying El Sayed disrespects women. It shows two quotes saying he called Michelle Obama uninspiring and called Gretchen Whitmer bought and sold. The Obama story isn’t even true, it was from an op-ed he wrote saying most initiatives for childhood obesity were uninspiring but actually commended her Let’s Move campaign. And for Whitmer he was referencing her ties to Blue Cross and executives supposedly asking employees to donate to her.
 
Troy Jackson(Maine Senate candidate) announced that he got all 40 delegates in Kennebec county . Thats impressive to me

He has 106 of 107 that have reported so far. Shenna's campaign included the alternates in the slate for each county. So the slate for Kennebec had 48 names (40 spots & 8 alternates) but the ballot only allows 40 names, so the vote is getting split. I've also noticed overlap between the slates for Shenna, Troy and Nirav Shah. Some people are on two slates. One is on all three. Depending on other county results today, tomorrow's meetings could be inconsequential.

Cumberland county is the big ticket. Hancock went 22 out of 23 for Troy, Penobscot just went 44 out of 44
 
Alright, so other than Drew not wanting him, what should I like about Troy Jackson? Además, what concerns Ms. Collins about him?
 
Troy Jackson is the most black-sounding name I've heard since Shaniqua Washington. Maybe the Republicans can do something with that in the rural counties.

"Troy Jackson (D) wants to steal your TV. Vote Susan Collins (R) for peace of mind."
