NHL 2026: The Olympics Will Be Mammoth!

Rumor is that Larkin's post-Olympics partying and basically forgetting about the Wings was the last straw for an already strained relationship with Yzerman, who is famously just a bit straight-laced.

Carter Hart has given up 4 goals in every game of the Finals.

When Torts was asked about going to Adin Hill he responded with “that has to be the dumbest question ever!”

5th straight year a former Gopher wins a cup. Interestingly all of them won a cup after being in the league for more than a decade:

Johnson - 14 years
Kessel - 17
Okposo - 17
Schmidt - 12
Reilly - 11

Also did I really hear this correctly? The Canes are the first SC winner since 1984 to start 2 goalies in the finals.

Yet another year the Blues keep the title.

-1993 as listed
94 NYR (held 3 seasons)
97 Det (12)
09 Pgh
10 Chi
11 Bos
12 LA
13 Chi
14 LA
15 Chi
16 Pgh (2)
18 Wsh
19 StL (8, and counting)

I wondered what that was keeping track of. I guess Colorado doesn’t count even though Denver is home to the most successful college team.
IIRC, he believes hockey teams shouldn't exist below the 40th parallel, with exceptions, OR the NHL stopped expanding after the WHL merger. I forget which.
