MLB 2026: The dying of the light

Giants showed who they truly are because *two* pitchers had a Genesis verse scrawled on their baseball caps during the game.

The verse in question is usually used by homophobes to "take back" the rainbow.

For a night that they claimed was for all, those two players said "just not you."

And in *fucking* San Francisco of all the fucking places. The unofficial, if not official, LGBTQIA+ capital of the world.

There was also a third pitcher that refused to wear the pride hat at all.

Landon's stats after pulling his little stunt:

Allowed 4 hits, allowed 4 earned, and lasted 4.2 innings.

Giants lost to the Cubs 5-1.

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you...

Mets have Young on first and Soto on third, one out. Ewing singles to left. Soto scores, Young tries to reach third.

Braves' Yastrzemski throws to third to try to nail Young.

His throw hits the pole that holds up the netting that protects the crowd.

Ball bounces into CF, Young scores, Ewing winds up at third.

Now, the netting is in play, but the pole grounds itself in foul territory. Umpire rules the pole is in play.

Huh.

It's almost worth tuning in to see how they react to Sweet Caroline in the 8th inning....
