NHL 2026: The Olympics Will Be Mammoth!

I guess it can get worse and they go back to the cellar, but that saves the annual February/March collapse from getting everyone’s hopes up.
They will surely be the last place team in the Atlantic. Even if they kept Larkin. It is so bad because they are too good to be a lotto team.

Fun fact - Larkin had less than 5...FIVE...even strength points from January onward. Good riddance to his lazy ass after Christmas every year.

The inconsistent effort and choking in the last six weeks of the season has to somewhat be on him. He seems like a sulker to me and you don’t want someone like that as captain.

The fact that Carolina had to use challenges on two different goals that obviously shouldn't have stood is certainly something.

I assume the only reason Minnesota is on the list is Quinn Hughes. Good buddies, evidently.

Oh, and he’s C1 instantly and probably the best center we’d ever had.

Apparently Larkin's list is 3 teams. Florida, Vegas, and Minnesota. I hope Larks enjoys his seat in the press box for 2 years until his NTC moves to 10 teams.
From what I'm seeing, I think FL and MN would have the cap space for his contract. Vegas won't unless they can shed other salaries, assuming they're even interested (which is doubtful).

Larkin is great when he isn't hurt. But he is always hurt during the season. Usually at the most critical time. He is a passenger, not a driver.

What's that sound? Bah gawd, it's Mark Stone going on LTIR to magically heal by mid-April!

*Yes I know the NHL fixed that loophole.
