2026 Coaching Changes

You know full well the point is she wouldn't be signing it if she was contacted by or interested in Minnesota.
Sure she would sign it because she wants her team not to be looking over their shoulder about her. But she could also have every intent to leave. She will do just about anything to win this weekend. We've all seen college football and basketball coaches have very long contracts and then just up and leave.

Let me save you the trouble. She doesn't have every—or any—intent to leave.
 
Contracts don't mean didly-do these days.
Yes, they do. Most college coaching contracts have buy-outs written into them, in case the coach wants to go elsewhere, or the school wants to get rid of the coach without cause. The coach movement we see is permitted by the contracts.

I guarantee you that those buy-outs are enforced.
